What you will do
- Supervise the children in your care throughout the day and keep them safe.
- Plan and lead a monthly program built on the children's interests, appropriate to their age and development.
- Create a classroom environment that guides children in their play and gives them real choices.
- Know each child's needs, including any emergency medication, where it is kept and how to give it.
- Follow centre policies, health and safety requirements and Alberta's child care regulations, and keep up with current best practice.
- Complete the daily safety checks of the building, play areas, toys and furnishings.
- Keep your work areas clean, organized and hygienic.
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Educator certification, Level 1, 2 or 3.
- A clear criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check, dated within the last six months.
- Current Standard First Aid, or willing to obtain it.

- Clear communication and careful observation.
- Neat, accurate written records.
- The ability to plan and run daily programming, work with every age group and work with a minimum of supervision.
